He tagged Nicola in the photo, who had also updated her handle to include her new surname: @nicolaannepeltzbeckham. On the day after the nuptials, Brooklyn posted a photo of the happy couple hand-in-hand with the caption, “.” Now that they've changed their handles, it looks like the combined surnames are not a one-time thing, but part of a new image the couple is building together.
Peak romance, in my opinion.While it's not uncommon for women to retain their last names or tack their husband's name onto the end of their own, it is unusual to see a man take on his wife's name in any capacity. (Imagine a world with a Justin Baldwin Bieber, or a Kanye Kardashian West.) Though, especially when two partners are public figures, the combined last name makes a lot of sense.
Though their wedding was fairly traditional—they invited the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, after all—the Peltz Beckhams are proving themselves to be quite progressive.
