Her movie appearances over the decades have included small roles in such pictures as Driving Miss Daisy, Summer Of Sam and 1941.
Patti's news comes two months after she dramatically announced her exit from the stage union Actors Equity and declared: 'I don't think I will be doing eight shows a week ever again.
