When Operation Mincemeat, the lauded West End musical comedy, begins previews on Broadway this February, the original London cast will be reprising their acclaimed performances for New York audiences.
Producers announced today that the original cast members – David Cumming, Claire-Marie Hall, Natasha Hodgson, Olivier Award-winner Jak Malone and Zoë Roberts – will reprise their roles for the Broadway production.
Previews begin Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Golden Theatre, with an official opening on Thursday, March 20. The Broadway staging follows a two sold-out years on the West End, where the musical continues to play.
Written and composed by the comedy troupe SpitLip (Cumming, Hodgson, Roberts and Felix Hagan), the musical is inspired by an actual event from World War II, in which Allied Forces used the corpse of a civilian to stage a deception operation in which false military plans were placed in the pockets of the dead body for Axis military to find.
