Broadway Finds Its ‘Tommy’: Ali Louis Bourzgui To Reprise Chicago Performance In The Who Musical

deadline.comAli Louis Bourzgui will reprise his acclaimed performance as the title character in The Who’s Tommy when the musical moves from Chicago to Broadway this spring.
The casting was announced today by producers Stephen Gabriel and Ira Pittelman. Preview performances of the reimagined musical will begin March 8, 2024, at the Nederlander Theatre ahead of a March 28 opening night.
Additional casting will be announced soon. The Broadway revival comes more than three decades after the musical’s 1993 original production.
Tommy, based on the classic 1969 album, features music and lyrics by the band’s Pete Townshend, and a book by Townshend and Des McAnuff, who directs.
