Brits travelling to Spain should be aware of the latest entry requirements as a major shakeup at border control is expected to impact 2025 holidays.
The launch of the EU's new Entry/Exit System, which was delayed once again in November, is now expected to be rolled out later this year.
The new automated system will require British holidaymakers to scan their passports at an automated self-service kiosk instead of getting it manually stamped by officials at the border.
The system will register the person's name, type of travel document, the date and place of entry and exit, as well as biometric data like fingerprints and a facial image.
