British dad and son killed in Australia tragedy

A father and son sadly lost their lives after being caught in a landslide while on a family holiday in Australia. According to New South Wales Police, the pair died at the scene on Wentworth Pass in the Blue Mountains, west Sydney.

A fifth member of the same family, a 15-year-old girl, was treated for shock. Acting Superintendent John Nelson described her as "extremely distressed".

Acting Superintendent John Nelson said: “Unfortunately there’s been a land slip while they’ve been bushwalking. It’s quite a tragic scene.” Stewart Clarke, from NSW Ambulance, said the incident happened in an “extremely dangerous, extremely unstable environment”.
