Britain is set to be hotter than Athens today, with temperatures reaching as high as 14C.The higher temperatures are mainly expected across eastern and central parts of the country as warmer weather will feel distinctly springlike.
While temperatures in the Greek city are expected to hit 7C, parts of England are set to reach double that and exceed those forecasted in Athens.
However, despite the soaring temperatures, the weather will be largely unsettled across the UK. Met Office spokesman Richard Miles said: “The West will be wet and windy which will gradually spread across the country overnight, and then it will be cooler in the west and wetter in the east.
