ITV Britain Get Singing viewers have called for one team to be disqualified. People watching the show on Christmas Eve said that the EastEnders team shouldn't have been able to compete because one team member was no longer in the soap.
Swapping Albert Square for centre stage were EastEnders stars Emma Barton, Heather Peace, Clair Norris, Matthew Morrison, Angela Wynter and Sid Owen.
But viewers thought that Sid Owen shouldn't have been able to take part because his character Ricky Butcher is no longer part of the cast.Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one user said: "Watching #Britaingetsinging and loving Eastenders!
Why is Ricky there though (I know that's not his real name)." Another added: "EastEnders should be disqualified for bringing in RINGER Sid Owen for Britain Get Singing." While a third commented: "Sid Owen being with all the current cast members is odd." Many viewers praised the festive special Britain Get Singing programme, which returned after a successful programme last year, but not everyone found it entertaining. The show saw a celebrities take to the stage in groups in the hopes of impressing the audience as well as a Super Panel of judges. Those judging the celebrities' singing skills were: Jonathan Ross, Adam Lambert, Alesha Dixon and will.i.am, with Roman Kemp on hosting duties.
