Few people agree on where the north-south divide actually lies, but one northerner has created a map that's so accurate, many think he's come close to cracking the code.
Alex, from Preston, often shares videos on TikTok showcasing British culture to his American girlfriend Tay. He recently taught her how to make "proper beans on toast" and introduced her to northern slang, while she took him home for his first-ever Thanksgiving meal.
To further her British education, Tay asked Alex to explain the north-south divide. Alex started by circling Lancashire, his home county, which he deemed "obviously northern" due to its "decent bants" and being "sound as f**k".
