One British person has died and three have been seriously injured in New Zealand after a collision involving a four-seater quad-cycle and a car.
Police have said that the incident happened at around 10.45am on February 13 on Puruatanga Road in Martinborough, which is on New Zealand's North Island.
Police in New Zealand have confirmed that they are working with the British high commission in Wellington following the tragedy.
An investigation is now underway into the accident involving the peddle-powered cycle with four wheels. Wellington district road policing manager Inspector Brad Allen said in a statement: “The deceased was critically injured but died at the scene before they could be airlifted to hospital.
