A British Army colonel was last night recovering after cheating death in a water-skiing accident. Lieutenant Colonel Ben Baldwin was ­dramatically rescued by his two sons after a stroke left him unconscious.

Max, 21, and Seb, 18, dived in and kept him afloat for more than four minutes until help arrived at their resort in Turkey.
