Brighton and Hove Albion have suffered a major injury blow as striker Evan Ferguson is ruled out of the Republic of Ireland's upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers.
Ferguson caught the headlines at the weekend when the 18-year-old bagged an impressive hat-trick in the Seagulls' 3-1 victory over Newcastle.
So far this season, the Irish centre-forward has scored four goals in as many matches after bagging an opening-day strike against Luton Town.
Manchester United, who are currently struggling with an injury crisis of their own, are Brighton's first opponents back after the international break and Ferguson is in a race to be fit in time for the trip to Old Trafford.
