Bridgerton star Golda Rosheuvel, who plays Queen Charlotte in the smash Netflix series and its spin-off, has signed up for The Dream Lands, the BBC‘s TV adaptation of Rosa Rankin-Gee’s apocalyptic climate change novel.
Rosheuvel will be joined by newcomer Pascale Kann, who takes the lead of Chance, alongside Anna Friel (Marcella, Broken) as Jas, Connor Swindells (SAS Rogue Heroes, Sex Education, Barbie) as Kole, Clara Rugaard (I Am Mother, Black Mirror) as Franky, Katherine Parkinson (Rivals, Significant Other) as Antonia and a number of others.
Rosheuvel, who stars in Bridgerton and its hit spin-off Queen Charlotte, is playing Iona. She recently appeared in other British shows Doctor Who and Death in Paradise.
The show from Sister and Universal International Studios is set in a near-future Margate, against a backdrop of soaring inequality, as Chance discovers life and love while being forced to fight for her family and friends’ survival in a world that’s crumbling around her.
