So it’s hardly a surprise that Season 2 will start filming this spring.Set in the world of balls and petticoats in 1800s London, Season 1 followed the journey to a happily-ever-after between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and the rakish Duke Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page).
Season 2 will follow Daphne’s oldest brother, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey). As romance novel fans told The Post, “Bridgerton” and its success have been a boon to the genre, which is having a moment in the sun.
