Brendan Rodgers admits Celtic will have to show patience with his young guns as they learn to live in the hard knock school of Champions League football.
The Parkhead boss is still moulding a new look team together after the club signed a string of ‘project players’ during the summer transfer window.
But bruising back-to-back defeats against Feyenoord and Lazio in the opening two games of Group E have left Scotland’s champions anchored to the bottom of the section - with a daunting double header against La Liga giants Atletico Madrid next up on the horizon.
And, while Rodgers insists he’s still targeting qualification - at the very least for a place in the Europa League - he admits his new players are having to learn on the job.
