Blunt Brendan Rodgers was in no doubt over whether Toyosi Olusanya's sending off for St Mirren should have been a red card.
Rodgers watched his Celtic side bat Saints aside in Paisley with considerable ease, Daizen Maeda and Matt O'Riley putting them 2-0 up within the opening six minutes on their way to a routine 3-0 win.
Olusanya saw red on the brink of half-time for catching Joe Hart with a high boot, though VAR had to intervene to reach that decision with on-pitch ref David Munro only flashing a yellow card initially.
Greg Taylor later added a third, but the red card dominated much of the post-match discussion. Commentator Chris Sutton felt the decision was harsh, but Rodgers felt a 'stud to the eye' clearly merited the sending-off.
