Brenda Song to Reunite with 'Dollface' Co-Star Kat Dennings on New ABC Comedy Series 'Shifting Gears'

Brenda Song and Kat Dennings will be sharing the screen again! Brenda, 36, will be making a special guest appearance on the upcoming ABC comedy series Shifting Gears, which stars Kat, 38, and Tim Allen.

The series, which premieres on January 8, 2025, follows Tim, 71, as Matt, “a widower and owner of a classic car restoration business whose adult daughter Riley (Dennings) and teenage kids move back in with him.” Keep reading to find out more…Brenda will guest star as Caitlyn, “a former high school classmate of Riley’s who is now the assistant principal of the school,” according to Deadline.

If you didn’t know, Brenda and Kat previously starred together on the Hulu series Dollface, which ran for two seasons between 2019 and 2022.

Shifting Gears showrunner and executive producer Michelle Nader also served as the showrunner on Dollface. Brenda will next be starring in the new movie The Last Showgirl alongside Pamela Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Kiernan Shipka.
