Brenda Song kept a tradition of watching Home Alone during the holidays, but watching it with her fiancé Macaulay Culkin might have “ruined” her experience.

While appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody alum recalled that when she started dating Culkin, she suggested watching the holiday movie classic to continue the annual tradition. “Christmastime came around — and it’s a tradition, I’ve always watched Home Alone every Christmas,” Song said. “He hadn’t seen the movie in almost a decade — he didn’t want to watch it — and I forced it.

I was like, ‘We have to.'” However, Song noted that as they started watching the film, Culkin “started telling me all the behind-the-scenes stories.

And I was like, ‘Stop. Stop. You’re ruining it for me.'” The Running Point star added, “The movie holds such a special place in obviously so many people’s hearts, it’s just hard for me, that’s all.” Home Alone is a 1990 Christmas comedy film directed by Chris Columbus and written and produced by John Hughes.
