Lockerbie terror.The bombing of Pan Am flight 103, travelling from London to New York on December 21 1988, over Lockerbie, killed 270 people in Britain’s largest terrorist atrocity.Former Libyan intelligence officer Abdelbaset Megrahi, who was found guilty in 2001 of mass murder and jailed for life with a minimum term of 27 years, was the only person ever convicted of the attack.But now  it has emerged that the US Justice Department are close to charging Abu Agila Mohammad Masud who is alleged to have made the bomb that blew up over the Scottish town.He is currently being held by Libyan authorities but the US is looking to extradite him, the Wall Street Journal reports.Some 190 Americans died in the atrocity with many returning home for.
