Coronavirus deaths in South Lanarkshire fell by 15 per cent to 22 last week.Figures released by the National Records of Scotland today (Wednesday, May 27) revealed a fourth successive drop in the number of weekly deaths in the region since it peaked at 50 between April 20 and 26.Deaths in care homes fell by two to 12 last week but still represented more than half (54 per cent) the total for the week.However, for the third week in a row, more people died in South Lanarkshire from coronavirus than North Lanarkshire.Since the first reported deaths in March, 274 people have died from coronavirus in South Lanarkshire of which 122 were in care homes, 123 were in hospital and 29 were in other settings including at home.Neighbouring North
