A man has been taken to hospital after a suspected acid attack. The shocking incident happened on Ogden Lane in Newhey, Rochdale, just after 8.15pm last night.
Police said a man, aged in his 30s, had a substance thrown into his face. It was believed to be acid, the force added. READ MORE: LIVE: Police guarding bridge as it's shut it both ways after serious crash - latest updates He was rushed to hospital from the scene with injuries to his face and arm.
The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and he remains in hospital. A police investigation is now underway with a cordon in place at the scene on the quiet lane.
