A man whose body was found five days after a fire at a Bolton restaurant has been named by police. Geri Rapo, 22, was discovered inside the building on Bolton Road, in Farnworth, on Saturday (December 2).

It followed a fire at around 1pm last Monday, November 27. Police previously said the fire had broken out from the first floor of the building, above the Lime Tree Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant and takeaway.

Geri's identity was confirmed by his family. A joint investigation by Greater Manchester Police and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service remains ongoing, with extensive enquiries being carried out to establish the cause of the fire.
