Hollywood actor George Segal has died at the age of 87, his wife Sonia announced tonight. It's reported that the actor died following complications from bypass surgery.
The actor rose to fame in the 1960s and starred in films such as Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Fun with Dick and Jane.
On television he was best known for his six-year stint as Jack Gallo on Just Shoot Me! at the turn of the millennium. He has also played Albert "Pops" Solomon on The Goldbergs since 2013 and had just finished his eighth season on the show.
George won two Golden Globe Awards for his performances including the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy in 1974 for his performance in A Touch of Class.
