Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle website, Goop, she and her ex-fiancé Brad Pitt reflected on their relationship and their personal history, over 20 years on.

And as Father's Day is looming, the pair touched on Brad's bond with Gwyneth's late father, Bruce Paltrow, who passed away in 2002.

The 49-year-old said: "Okay, since it's almost Father's Day, I'm going to ask you about Bruce. I'll never forget when we were engaged and he came to me one day, his eyes full of tears, and he said, 'You know, I never really realised what they mean when they say you're gaining a son.

Like, I'm gaining a son. ' What impact did he have on you? Why did you love him, even though we didn't get married, unfortunately?"Even though the couple called it quits way back in 1997, Brad noted how he still held a special place in his heart for Bruce, and how he had a profound effect on him.
