Boyzone fans have been left feeling "extremely old" as Ronan Keating has become a grandad for the first time aged 46. It comes after his eldest son, Love Island star Jack Keating, announced the birth of his first daughter.

The 23 year old reality star announced the sweet new arrival in an adorable black and white picture on Instagram. The news came as a complete shock to his fans, who didn't realise he had been in a relationship since his appearance as a bombshell in Casa Amor last summer.

Sharing the exciting news on Thursday night, Jack looked besotted with his newborn as he cradled her in his arms. The black and white photo showed him looking down at the tiny baby who was wrapped up in a spotty onesie and fit into his two palms.

He penned alongside it: "Welcome to the world my little [princess emoji]." The post was also met with messages of congratulations from his followers on the platform, including from fans who admitted they were feeling their age as they realised Boyzone singer Ronan had a child old enough to be a father himself.
