A five-year-old British national has tragically died while on holiday in Egypt. Kelan Logan-Derench, from Sutton Coldfield, near Birmingham, died on November 24 while enjoying a holiday with his family.
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) said it was supporting the family during this difficult time. A GoFundMe page was set up by family friend Serena Whitehead which has already raised more than £14,000.
In a statement, she described Kelan as a "cheeky, mischievous, happy little boy". Devastatingly only one day later Kelan had a tragic accident and fell into the swimming pool and heartbreakingly nothing could be done to save him and he sadly lost his life. “Kelan was a cheeky, mischievous, happy little boy, he was a younger brother to Cienna and was about to become a big brother himself in February 2024.
