Boy brutally stabbed on Glasgow street moments after "leaving mosque"
dailyrecord.co.ukA Muslim boy was brutally stabbed on a Glasgow street moments after he reportedly left a mosque to get his bus home. The 13-year-old was attacked in the Queen's Drive area in the Southside of the city at around 8.30pm on Friday night.
Friends of his family say he was found in a pool of blood before the alarm was raised.Emergency services raced to the scene, near to the junction with Victoria Road, before the boy was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children, where he remains in a serious condition.Loved ones have since shared an image of the boy in his hospital bed on behalf of his family as they plead for justice to be done.
The picture - which shows the child covered in slash marks across his body - was taken as medics prepared to operate on his wounds.
He is understood to have suffered a punctured lung in the stabbing. Police have so far have established that the boy was walking near to Queen’s Park, where an altercation took place.
