Boy, 15, killed in tragedy named and pictured as tributes pour in
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA teenage boy who died after being knocked down in Oldham has been named as Ethan Allen. The 15-year-old died in hospital on Thursday, two days after being hit by a car on Rochdale Road.
It's understood Ethan, a pupil at Oasis Academy Leesbrook in Oldham, had been out with friends and was crossing the street with his 14-year-old girlfriend Olivia when he was hit by a black Seat Ibiza near the junction with King Street at about 8pm.
A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and later released on bail. Olivia escaped injury. And it's been revealed his organs have been donated to help others. A message on a JustGiving page, set up to help the family with funeral costs, says: "Ethan was a beautiful child, selfless, who always helped others.
