A headteacher has paid a heartbreaking tribute to a ‘kind and gentle’ 12-year-old pupil who was found dead along with his father after the pair went hillwalking in the Scottish Highlands.
Andrea O’Neill said Alsager School had been left ‘devastated’ by the death of Year 7 student Richie Parry who she described as a ‘ray of sunshine’.
She added that the school counsellor, as well as youth workers from local churches, would be on hand next week to provide support for pupils and staff, CheshireLive reports. Rescuers searching for the missing pair recovered two bodies from Stob Coire Nan Lochan, Glen Coe, at around 7.25pm on Wednesday.
