Nia Long‘s fiancee, Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka, apologized for having a relationship with a staff member, which led to him being suspended for the entire 2022-23 season.
But new details are emerging as to why he just recently suspended when members of the Boston Celtics organization knew of the relationship as far back as July 2022. Click inside to read more… The reason team owners and president Brad Stevens had a closed-door meeting on Thursday (September 22) deciding on the suspension was that the woman whom Ime had the relationship with accused him of making unwanted comments, according to The Atlantic.
Up until that point, it was believed that their relationship was consensual. Ime and Nia have been dating since 2010.
They got engaged in 2015 but have yet to walk down the aisle. Ime, 45, was hired as the Celtics’ head coach in the 2021 offseason and led the team to the NBA Finals.
