Boris Johnson’s pet dog Dilyn may have caught the coronavirus as the deadly bug swept through Downing Street, it has been claimed.
The Jack Russell rescue dog is said to have been left subdued, wheezing and refusing to go out for walks during April when the Prime Minister was fighting for his life in hospital.
The 56-year-old former Mayor of London was put in intensive care at St Thomas' Hospital with a cough and fever - though reports he had not been put on a ventilator were denied.
Fiancée Carrie Symonds and Health Secretary Matt Hancock were among those in the PM's inner circle to contract the virus during the pandemic's peak in the spring.
