A set of jewellery will raise more than £1,000 to help the humanitarian relief effort in Ukraine. The Whitehouse Gallery in Kirkcudbright will raffle a necklace and earrings by Borgue artist Sheena McMaster tomorrow.

People can secure a slot in the draw by donating £10 to Massive Outpouring of Love which has been shipping donations out to Ukraine.

The set, which features sunflowers, is worth more than £400. So far more than £1,300 has been raised. Sheena said: “We are reminded that sunflowers are the national flower of Ukraine and a symbol of peace. “As we struggle watching and hearing of the terrible events taking place everyday I wanted to offer support in some way, So I have donated a sunflower neckpiece and sunflower earrings to this charity.” To enter the draw, visit www.whitehousegallery.co.uk/art-for-ukraine/
