Booths has announced the imminent closing date for its Altrincham store next month. The high-end supermarket, a fixture in Hale Barns for eight years, has cited escalating costs and declining profits as reasons for its closure.
It has been confirmed a new Asda will replace the store. A spokesperson for Booths has announced that the store will close officially on Sunday 7 April. A statement from Booths said: “Closing any Booths store is always a difficult decision and is not a reflection of the dedication of our team at Hale Barns and the wider business. “We would like to thank our loyal customers and colleagues and we look forward to welcoming customers at Knutsford Booths.
We would like to reassure colleagues and customers that we have no further plans to exit any of our other stores.” On social media, Alan said: “Sorry to see it go.
