Body of newborn baby found at recycling centre as purple towel may hold vital clue

The body of a newborn baby has been found at a recycling centre wrapped in a purple beach towel. Police confirmed the baby's body was found at the waste centre in Bowling Back Lane, Bradford, earlier today.

A desperate search is now on to try and locate the baby's mother. West Yorkshire Police said in a statement: "Emergency services have today attended Bowling Back Lane in Bradford where sadly a newborn baby has been found to have died "The baby was wrapped in a pink towel which depicted the island of Fuerteventura in yellow on a purple background.

There were various pictures associated with tropical locations on the towel also including fish, sea horses and a palm tree." They shared a picture of the purple towel to their social media
