The body of teenage boy has been found following a huge search at a Salford park. The 14-year-old was discovered in the water by specialist teams after Clifton Country Park was evacuated earlier today.
Police say they received a call at 3.30pm reporting concern for the youngster and dozens of marked cars were sent to the scene.
In a statement, a spokesperson for GMP said: "At around 3.30pm on Tuesday June 2, police were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a teenage boy last seen in the River Irwell near to Clifton Country Park.
