Body found near Scots road as cops launch probe into 'unexplained' death and ask for help identifying dead man

A body discovered near a Scots road has sparked a police probe. The man's body was found at around 11.50am on Sunday, November 14, on the mudflats near the Ferry Road picnic area in Dingwall.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained and police say enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

He is yet to be identified and cops have now released a description in a bid to track down his next of kin. The man is described as being white, between 5ft 7in and 5ft 10in tall, between 25 to 35-years-old, of athletic build with short spiked ginger hair and short facial hair.

He was wearing a grey “Rainbows for Heroes” t-shirt, a black Trespass jacket, blue Under Armour jogging bottoms and black Skechers trainers.
