A body has been found in the search for a 26-year-old man who went missing in Snowdonia (Eryri), North Wales, over the weekend.
On Monday, August 7, a major search and rescue operation was launched after a man named Daniel went missing while hiking. He was believed to have been in the area of Tryfan, Tregarth or Llanberis.
A silver Ford Fiesta belonging to the young man was found in Bethesda on Monday evening, North Wales Live reports. Now police have confirmed that a body was found in the Carneddau area later last night.
The body has not yet been identified but Daniel's family have been informed, the force said in a statement. North Wales Police Gwynedd North said: "Officers and the Mountain Rescue Team colleagues searching for missing walker Daniel have sadly discovered the body of a man last night (Monday August 7th) in the Carneddau area. "Formal identification is yet to take place; however, Daniel’s family have been informed and are being kept up to date whilst enquiries are ongoing.
