Body found in search for missing Scots OAP who may have got stuck in quicksand

A body has been found in the search for missing pensioner Shona Campbell.A frantic search was launched for the 74-year-old after she disappeared at Solway Estuary, in Annan, at around 5pm on Monday, December 9.

It was feared Shona, who was visiting the area and staying at West Moss-Side Caravan Park, Cummertrees, had been washed into the Solway Firth after getting into difficulty in quicksand when out for a walk.Police have now confirmed, a body, believed to be Shona's was located in the Solway Estuary, Cummertrees, Annan at around 5.40pm today.Formal identification has still to take place.
