A body has been found in the search for a diabetic Scots mum who has been missing for seven days. Lisa Wotherspoon, 37, disappeared from Vulcan Street, Motherwell, where she was last seen at around 6am on Friday, September 29.
Officers from Police Scotland launched an appeal on Wednesday to trace the Type-1 diabetic who did not have access to insulin when she went missing.
They confirmed a body had been discovered while searching for her on Friday morning. Her heartbroken family members took to social media to pay tribute to Lisa.Her cousin wrote on Facebook: "Guys thank you so much for all the love and support and the shares and searches that were done for my cousin Lisa Wotherspoon."It’s with great sadness I write this, Lisa has been found this morning, she is no longer with us, rest easy Lisa and I’m sorry that no one was able to take away the pain that you were feeling inside.
Love you always."Thinking of the rest of my family, Andy Wotherspoon and Lisa’s close friends today, my aunty Margaret Wotherspoon and the two girls."Her aunt Marion Wotherspoon simply said: "Broken".
