While formal identification is yet to take place, the family of missing Martin Simpson has been informed. The 54-year-old was reported missing from Oakbank Street in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, on Monday, March 6.
A colleague of the painter and decorator phoned his wife after he failed to show up for his lift to work.In the last 24 hours, Martin's heartbroken family launched a frantic search party in a bid to trace his whereabouts.
His daughter, Donna, 34 told the Record earlier today: "My mum got up and noticed his keys and phone were still in the house.
