A body has been discovered in a Glasgow canal. Emergency services raced to the Speirs Wharf area, near Port Dundas, after the alarm was raised at around 5.45pm on Monday.Officers were responding to the report of a body in the water.The identity of the person found has not yet been confirmed.One worried local said: "There is an ongoing police incident at the canal at Speirs Wharf.
A lot of police are in attendance."Emergency crews currently remain at the scene and police say their enquiries are ongoing.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.45pm on Monday, March 27, police were called to a report of a body discovered in the water in the Speirs Wharf area of Glasgow.“Officers and emergency services are currently at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
