The 52-year-old partner of the late legend spoke to TMZ amid rumblings of a remake of the iconic 1992 film, and he addressed those reports. Click inside to read more… When asked if making a remake was a bad idea, he simply said: “Yeah.” Matthew López, the Tony-nominated playwright of The Inheritance, has been hired to write the reimagining at Warner Bros., Variety reported earlier in the week, which led to criticism and disapproval on social media.
There’s no word yet on the possible cast. The new movie will be “inspired” by the film starring Whitney and Kevin Costner, which grossed more than $400
