And he is right in the mix as he sits only three shots behind leader Xander Schauffele. But not everyone is happy, however, with Scottish singer-songwriter Amy MacDonald venting on social media over a lack of MacIntyre from the TV coverage.
Writing on X, she said: "Bob Macintyre sitting on nine under par here but you’d have no idea from this coverage." But the Ryder Cup hero star is staying calm and is backing himself to flourish with 10-plus players having a bonafide shot of coming out on top.
Speaking after his exploits, the 27-year-old said: "The only reason there's pressure is because you care so much. It's only because you care about what you're doing, the position that you're in.
