A lawsuit accusing Bob Dylan of sexual abuse 57 years ago in New York has been dropped.The woman who accused Dylan said that he had abused her when she was a child in April and May of 1965 at the Chelsea Hotel in Manhattan, amid claims from the singer's legal team that she had destroyed evidence in the case, which 'irretrievably' impacted the case's viability.The woman said in legal docs reviewed by Billboardthat she was 'emotionally scarred and psychologically damaged' following a six-week frame in 1965 in which she said Dylan had been abusive to her.

Dylan's lawyer Orin Snyder of the Gibson Dunn firm said in a statement to the outlet that 'this case is over' and 'it is outrageous that it was ever brought in the first place.'We are pleased that the plaintiff has dropped this lawyer-driven sham and that the case has been dismissed with prejudice.' The woman who accused Dylan said he had abused her when she was a child in April and May of 1965 at the Chelsea Hotel in Manhattan.
