The producers of the movie The Blind Side are speaking out to clear up some confusion about profits earned by former NFL player Michael Oher and the Tuohy family.
As you already know, the film was inspired by the real story of the Tuohy family taking in Oher, a high school football player, and adopting him as their own.
Years later, Oher, now 37, has alleged that the Tuohy family never actually adopted him and put him into a conservatorship instead.
He says the family made millions of dollars from the movie while he received nothing for his rights. The Blind Side won an Oscar for Sandra Bullock‘s performance as Leigh Anne Tuohy and was also nominated for Best Picture.
