Emergency services have rushed to Blackpool Tower following eye-witness reports of a blaze breaking out. A spokesperson for Blackpool Tower confirmed the structure had been evacuated while reports have emerged of streets surrounding the tower also being evacuated.
Both police and fire services are already on the scene. One eyewitness told our sister paper Lancs Live: "At least three fire engines arrived in a matter of minutes, and then the street behind the tower was cordoned off, so you can't get any closer.

I hope nobody was hurt." Here's everything we know so far.... It is not yet clear when the fire exactly broke out. However, fire crews are believed to have been called to the scene shortly after 2pm today (December 28).
