Blackpool Tower fire: Dramatic video captures moment blaze broke out as people evacuated

Firefighters descended onto the scene shortly after 2pm. Reports indicate that the blaze broke out at the 360-degree viewing platform near the apex of the tower.
A number of people have been evacuated, according to a Blackpool Tower Spokesperson. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that six fire engines as well as a drone team are in attendance at the site of the blaze.
Traffic problems around Blackpool have been reported, especially on the Promenade where the Tower is located. A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Spokesperson said: "We have 6 fire engines, the drone team and the rope rescue team currently in attendance at a fire on Promenade, Blackpool. "Please stay away from the area.
