A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following a crash in Heywood. The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital following a collision on Queens Park Road just after 2pm.
The road was closed as police collision experts began an investigation into the incident. Pictures and video from the scene showed a motorbike in the road.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene between Starkey Street and Heywood Hall Road. Traffic was diverted away until the road was re-opened later on Tuesday. A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers were called to a collision involving a car and a motorbike on Queens Park Road in Heywood at just after 2pm.
