A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following reports of a shooting in Salford. Officers were called by crews from North West Ambulance Service around 2.30pm today (Sunday) to Higher Croft, Eccles.
It is believed the victim was on a motorbike when he was struck by two men, who were also on a motorbike. The victim suffered injuries to his arm.
A number of roads have been taped off around the area. Ivy Street Park has also been cordoned off by police. The victim's injuries are thought to be serious but not life-threatening, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said.
