Netflix has set October 20 for the premiere of the penultimate seventh season of Emmy-winning animated series Big Mouth. The streamer also unveiled a first-look teaser and announced new Season 7 guest stars Megan Thee Stallion, Lupita Nyong’o, Stephanie Beatriz, Zazie Beetz, Padma Lakshmi, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Billy Porter, Rosie Perez, Brian Tyree Henry, Zach Galifianakis, Randall Park, Chloe Fineman, Beck Bennett, Zach Woods, Mark Duplass, Thandiwe Newton, Paul Scheer, Brandon Kyle Goodman, Jon Daly, and Andy Daly.
Inspired by Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg’s childhood, Big Mouth is about the glorious nightmare that is puberty. It follows a group of friends and their hormone monsters as they navigate adolescence, human sexuality and coming of age.
As we reported exclusively in April, Big Mouth was renewed for an eighth and final season. With the pickup of Season 8, Big Mouth becomes the longest-running scripted original series in Netflix history, outside of Kids & Family programming.
It surpasses Grace and Frankie, which ran for seven seasons. The upcoming Season 7 follows the now teenage students of Bridgeton middle school as they make their way to high school.
